North Devon District Council wanted to establish attitudes toward the proposed merger of North & East Devon Healthcare trusts amongst the North Devon residents.
Objective
To establish attitudes towards the proposed merger of North & East Devon Healthcare trusts amongst North Devon residents and to measure level of satisfaction with the existing service offered by North Devon Healthcare Trust.
Approach
In order to answer the objectives for the client, a quantitative approach was utilised. Comprising of 600 telephone interviews with North Devon residents. In order to achieve an unbiased sample, all NDDC and NDHT staff and their immediate family and close friends were excluded from the survey.
Insight
The overall satisfaction with the services offered by NDHT was very high.
When looking at various elements of the existing services offered by NDHT, respondents scored favourably.
Many respondents felt the proposed merger would make North Devon secondary to Exeter and that travelling to Exeter for services could be an issue.
