Mystery Shopping Research
Turquoise Thinking was commissioned to conduct market research supporting the claim that buying a boiler from BOXT was ‘Faster, Cheaper and Trustier’ than other suppliers. We conducted a thorough and robust mystery shopping exercise utilising video calls and website booking forms to compare boiler prices, installation times and customer service.
The results of our research were used as verification of the claims made in the BOXT 2019 TV advert featuring Miranda Hart.
For the TV ad, our panel of customers obtained quotes for 44 boilers from British Gas and for each one the price of the same boiler was obtained from BOXT. The average cost saving was £1,217. See results here
Turquoise went on to complete a full study, achieving a total of 100 shopper surveys, providing the client with a detailed report of our findings.
