Donor base expansion for Independent Age

Independent Age is a national charity that helps older people live independently by providing expert advice and quality information. We were brought on board to research the total potential market for fundraising, volunteering, and campaign activity beyond their traditional donor base.

Methodology

Turquoise conducted a large-scale quantitative study with 4,400 respondents, ensuring robust data across all sub-groups. The majority were reached via online surveys which were designed, scripted, and hosted by Turquoise, while 400 responses were gathered through house-to-house and telephone interviews, targeting older or internet-poor individuals.

A live tracking web portal was also provided to monitor responses in real-time. Our experience in multi-modal research allowed us to ensure that every segment of the target audience was included, offering a complete view of the market.

Outcome

With the interactive market-sizing dashboard created by Turquoise, Independent Age gained clear insights into their potential supporter base across the UK. This tool provided the charity with actionable data to plan future strategies, helping them tailor their outreach to better engage potential volunteers and donors.
